Do YOU want to be a school Councillor? If you are in Reception, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 4 or Year 5 you have the chance to next year. But what do you do? You could ask your (excluding reception) class Councillor, but here is an article to read in case you can't.
You have to be responsible, and be able to think of ideas. It would be great if you are confident and can put up your hand as well. If you want to help charities or are curious about them, fantastic. If you see all of these in you, prepare a short piece of writing to show your class that you can do it. But don't worry, you don't need to do this until early September and you can get a parent to help.
If you are picked, you will need to attend a meeting and an assembly every other month. Ideas will be shared and negatives and positives about our school will also be discussed. You write them down in your book (you can get a year 5 or 6 to help if you are younger). The next day you will report to your class about the problems, their problems and then any questions. If you are in the lower school, show your teacher your book and they can help you explain.
Thanks!
The School Council :)
